Angelina's Life in Motion

ONLY 2 WEEKS OF SCHOOL LEFT!!!!! Can you tell I'm excited today as I write this? Well, after a weekend in the ocena at the Gulf of Mexico it was hard to come back to school. Now I'm really ready for summer vacation! Well, I guess the biggest event I have to share with you is about the beach trip. We left Puebla around noon on Friday and arrived in Casitas, Veracruz around 4pm. It was a nice trip. There are so many mountain ranges in Mexico. A lot of the way was going through mountains. It's beautiful. I did have one minor problem. Well, first of all, I came down with an earache and a sore throat on last Wednesday night, so Thursday I visited the doctor and got some medicine. It's risky coming down from 7,000ft altitude to 0ft with ear problems, so that is why I went to the doctor. Anyways, I was feeling better, but when we started descending my ears started to pop, only my right ear didn't carry out releasing the pressure, so I went for nearly 48 hours without full hearing and with the sound you have when you have water in your ears. That was not fun. Most of the time there wasn't any pain, but it was really annoying. Finally, when we came back up it got better. Our hotel in Casitas in right on the beach so on Friday evening my friends and I walked along the shores and collected shells and sand dollars. Then after dark we looked for crabs. Although, we didn't have to do much seeking- they were all over. I've never seen a crab so close up. They are very interesting little creatures. On Saturday I spent a lot of time in the ocean, learning how to catch and ride a wave. That is so cool! The only problem is that nearly every time you end up getting water-logged when you reach the end of the wave. It pulls you under right next to the shore. This was only the 2nd time in my life that I've been in the ocean, so it was still very exciting for me. Sunday morning I woke up very congested and decided to stay out of the water, but I enjoyed sitting on a log at the edge of the shore and watching the waves thunder in. It was a nice time just to meditate on God's goodness in His creations. I enjoyed it. Each day we had a small service with singing and a special message. Rick Hudson was the speaker. We enjoyed learning about how God travels with us on our journey through life. What a comfort that is to know! On Sunday around 12pm we packed up and headed back to Puebla. It was a great trip!
Tonight the senior high is putting on a play. Debbie Hudson is in it. I'm sure it will be a fun time. Tomorrow is a banquet for the senior high, which teachers are invited to and Saturday night there is a Teacher Appreciation Dinner. So, I will have a full weekend ahead of me with lots of fun activities.
I have two items for prayer this week. The first is that I will get over my sickness. I'm still congested and coughing alot. Secondly, please pray for the mission teams from LBT. The high schoolers are going to New York and the college group is coming here to Puebla. They need our prayers as the prepare and as they trust in God to provide the necessary funds. Thank you. Let us also not cease to give thanks to our God who is mighty and able to do exceedingly, abudantly above all we ask or think according to His riches!!! Have a great week! Angelina
