School is officially over!!! Wow, the past two weeks have flown by. I had one student miss the last 2 weeks of school, except for today because he got the Chicken Pox. We had a class sleepover last weekend at one of the students' homes. It was a great time. One girl sprained her ankle and couldn't come, plus the boy who had chicken pox didn't come and his brother didn't come. SO, we were short a few, but the ones who did come had fun. We played games, watched a movie and had a tickling contest.
This week at school was really laid back. We finished up our assignments and played games. We also did some end of the year cleaning, etc. I had to say goodbye to one student whose family will be in the states next year. I will miss him. Last night was the high school graduation. For those of you who know the Hudsons, Debbie graduated. Jeremy and his wife Julie came down, as well as Jon and a few of Rick's relatives. It was fun to see Jeremy again and to meet his wife. He was with us on the mission trip in 1996.
Speaking of mission trips, my team is coming down in a little over 2 weeks. I'm getting so excited. We definitely have a lot of work to do here and we'll keep busy. It'll be a fun time of fellowship and service. Today we only had 2 hours of school, so that was nice. We had a little ceremony to honor AB honor roll students. I also gave out certificates in my class. I feel very good about the year! I'm looking forward to a break. However, I intend to find a job this summer, so if you know of anything, please let me know! My roommate's mom and 2 sisters are visiting until after I leave. It has been nice spending some time with them. On Sunday I'm going to be staying at one of my student's homes for a week while his family is on vacation. I'll have this huge house to myself and it will be fun!
One other thing I forgot to mention is a goodbye party I attended for some missionaries who have been here for 35 years. It was such a neat time of fellowship. The couple has been a blessing to so many people and they will be missed. It was so neat because the whole missionary community here is like family. They laugh together, cry together and share in one another's lives. I really enjoyed being with them to say goodbye to our friends. Well, I'm working on cleaning up my classroom and in a little bit we have a staff party, so I'll leave you all for now. Have a great week and I'll be seeing many of you soon!
